While debating on which dead people I'd most like to talk to, I had a realization. Living an exciting life doesn't always look like one. John Lennon is on my list, not because I think he's a great person. He was selfish and not the greatest father... but he was a brilliant and creative genius. And reading biographies about him shows you what a crazy and exciting life he lived. But only because so much happened to him. And not all of it was good. He didn't see or speak to his son for years... when the kid was 4.
So I think it's turning everyday mundane life into something worthwhile... that's what counts. I don't need to travel the world and have life-altering experiences. (Though I wouldn't mind!) What I do need is for my day to day life to be filled with quality experiences. Husband lives this way. Our life is fun. We play good music really loud and dance with our kids while we cook a yummy dinner. We never eat on time. The kids laugh and dance and glow with happiness. They go to bed HAPPY. We have a few drinks, we relax.
The only problem is that the food we eat is clogging our arteries. We should work on that.
